Another Update!

Finally!!

Its finished!!!  The Trip Report is here and the pictures are here . . . if something doesn't open correctly, please let me know.  If you have any questions (or comments), please feel free to email me!

I managed to wake up this morning a little after 7am and I've been working on it since with the exception of about 15 minutes to have a bagel.  Its 9:45am and I'm posting.  Depending on whether or not anything "magnanimous" happens, I may or may not be back to post more later.  Right now, I'm in the mood to not see my computer for the rest of the day!!  ;>)  Okay so its sitting in the living room and I don't have a choice but to see it . . .  you know what I mean!!

More later . . . maybe . . .

Bad Penny

Well of course you can't get rid of me that easily!!  Silly!!

We've been to Costco for a quick trip for some unusual things: Diet Coke for me (I drink a case about every two months), Coke for Brian (he was down to 1-1/2 cases which is too scary for him), storage boxes so that the Christmas crafts stuff doesn't look too nasty in the dining room (a drawback of living in an apartment-- not enough space!), and charcoal and lighter fluid cuz we could have another barbeque-- it could!!!  They had the Circulon cookware that we've been wanting on sale, too; we almost bought it a few weeks ago and now I'm glad we didn't!!

Anyway, when we came back, I worked on some ornaments-- I need to make over a 100 this year, the result of an expanding readership-- THANKS!!  I really enjoy making the ornaments so the fact that I have many more excuses to make more of them is all that more enjoyable for me!!

I've also read some more on my book, "White Oleander".  Interesting read but kinda hard to explain.

***********
Brian has told me that he doesn't want much of anything for dinner, probably a  salad.  This from the man that doesn't like condiments!  Yeah, right!  He's making his own salad tonight and I'll make a tuna salad for myself.  It is hotter hear than the web services are saying which makes it difficult to figure out what to cook and thus, there is no cooking happening.

A lot of you have checked on the Trip Report and pictures-- thanks for coming by and I hope you're enjoying them!!  We had such a nice time last week . . . it'll be hard to go to work tomorrow but, there are bills to pay!

Have a good evening . . .

Busy!!

Knock it off, okay?  I'm here!!  I've had a busy day for someone who really hasn't done much of anything.  That may or may not make sense, depending on if you've ever had one of those days where you've been busyall day but haven't really finished or accomplished that much.

1.  I went and had my nails and pedicure today; for those of you keeping track, you're right: next week is my "regular" week for that but, I have a fairly serious oral surgery scheduled for Thursday so I don't expect to be "up and around" for the appointment on Saturday.

2.  I've been working on my Trip Report and pictures all afternoon!!  Because of the way that I've written it (and so far, I haven't printed it), I can't tell how long the report is but there is a lot to it.  Then, there were 94 pictures that I used which means I had to crop, save and thumbnail each of those, in addition to creating the table to put them in for publication.  (I'm still working on that but I stopped to do something different, 'kay?)

3.  I'm sorting through the Christmas ornament making stuff-- Yeesh!!  I've told Brian that, should I happen to be stupid enough to say that I need something from the crafts store, he is to demand a valid reason for my going there!  I have six (yes, that's SIX) boxes of ornament making stuff!!!  I think I went a little overboard this year!!  I sorted through it to see what I might need and, trust me when I say, there is NOTHING that I need!!

Other than that, I've been busy all day . . . I have not had a nap (it was probably too hot to sleep anyway) as I usually do; I haven't read my book; I haven't had any fun today at all-- well, okay, I had a little when I got my nails done (Linda and I always have fun!).

**********

I do believe that is all there is to report for tonight so . . . see you tomorrow!

Update at 8:15pm

Happy Anniversary!!

First of all, its the wedding anniversary for my sister, Sue-- she and Bill have been happily married for umpteen-gazillion years!!!  It was good to see them this week!!

Plans for the Day?

Tons of things to do-- its 6:30am and I'm up and wide awake . . . can you say "Eastern Daylight Time"??  Hopefully, we'll get re-acquainted with Pacific Daylight Time soon but, in the interim, it feels like its noon-- or almost noon anyway!!

The hotel where we stayed messed up the billing of our room-- we had put it on our debit card and, although we only checked out yesterday, we've had an amount not even mentioned on our real bill charged to our account.  I've already put a call into them to get that straightened out!  Yeesh!!  I'm not pleased, needless to say.

I'm going to go for a bike ride today, too.  It feels like its been a hundred years since I've cycled so I don't know how far I'll be able to go.  It'll be nice to get out on my bicycle again!!  I've really missed it!!!

I've also got the pictures to edit and the trip report to write-- Man, I'm ready to go back to bed!!  I'm tired out just thinking about all of that stuff!!

More later as things are accomplished . . .

Stuff Done

Well, I actually got a lot of things done today:  I went on a five mile bicycle ride (it felt really good but it was enough at five); I have been wondering if it would help any if I raised the seat of my bicycle so I tried it and it did seem to ride better.  When I came home, I played a computer game that I have until Brian called to tell me that he was on his way home from work.  Then I showered knowing that I was going to go out when he got home-- I had a little left-over shopping that needed to be taken care of at the crafts store.  Out of a bin of refrigerator magnets, I picked the ONLY one that had its magnets missing!!

After that, I called the hotel again to find out the status and found that they still didn't have a clue as to what was going on: Come on, people!!  There were seven rooms occupied from Sunday to Monday-- how hard can it be to find the one for the same amount as was charged "accidentally" to my account?  I also found out from the bank that, unless you call it a "merchant error", you cannot "stop payment" on a charge made against your debit card.  Well, no, you can but they will call your card "stolen" or "lost" which makes it unuseable-- that's now a travel note for us!

When I finished talking with the bank and the hotel people again, I left to go grocery shopping-- we had nothing in the apartment!!  Well, we had frozen chicken and beef but no vegetables, fruits, milk, or any of our usual staples-- not a good thing!  There was about fifteen minutes in between that and leaving for the medical-side of our errands: we had to transfer our charts (both of us needed to be present) from our doctor's previous location to her new location.

Since that time, I've been writing the trip report and renaming the pictures.  I'm working on it, okay?  It'll be up here-- soonish!  In the interim, you can read Brian's trip report with a few pictures on it here and be patient, mine's coming!!

Speaking of which, I'd better get back to it-- I'm only half-way finished with the first day (it is going to be a long one!)!!

TTYL . . .

We're Back!

I'm tired . . . there's about a zillion pictures to go through but a trip report will be, as usual, posted on the Meanderings page of my website.  The email is working "as usual" again.

Thanks to Keriand Barbara for letting ya'll know that I couldn't be reached by email and the website was unreachable for updates.  Well, I guess you could say that I really had a vacation, eh?

More to come . . .  thanks for your patience . . .
