Unusual occurrence . . .
I'm home alone on a weeknight-- Brian's at work with a non-holiday dog-n-pony show for a customer. They haven't done this very often since he's been there (2+ years) but occasionally, it happens. I've fixed dinner (which is baking) and started up the laptop (of course, I'm going to work, silly!) and fired up my little ol' HP, too. I've gotta turn some music on cuz its just tooooooo quiet here!
Webalizer Stats
I like that I get to see the webalizer statistics on a daily basis-- I can see who came by to visit or, as in the case of one webcrawler, to stomp through my website. Its fun to know that I've got people from around the world reading my website with one small problem: my webalizer runner (Brian) isn't home tonight (see above)!
Computer problems at work . . .
Now, admittedly, there's nothing that can be done from
the general public but, last week the sysadmin installed a new hard drive
on my laptop. There's something wrong with the way that it shuts
down tho-- it goes to the screen that says "Please wait while your computers
shuts down" and freezes. That's as far as it goes and, when I go
to turn it on the next time, it tells me that "Windows wasn't shut down
properly . . . " so I get the scan screen every time. I put in a
repair request at work today cuz I may not know a lot about computers but
I doubt that that's good for the hard drive on this thing. I'll keep
you posted on what the system administration people do to fix it.
