Late Start . . .
Well, today, I got a late start
on my workday: I was at work by 5:30 am. I'm sorry for those of you
that are disappointed by my slacker-attitude when it comes to showing up
at work "late". However, Svenson
has these words to offer with regard to my management:
These people are human and know that the people that work for them are human, too. Rare in this world, for sure.Yes, thankfully, I am fortunate in that they realize that we are humans and have our limits. This is really a good group of people I work with at this company PLUS, for as much as I complain, I am totally absorbed in making the company run better by the work that I do and make more money by the work that we all do. I haven't felt this much enthusiasm for a "job" in a long, LONG time and, it is a very refreshing concept for me!Not that rare, a lot of bosses know their people are human. They also know that they cannot push machines beyond their designed limits. Then they realise Humans have no design limits ...
But at your place they realise that humans have limits, designed or not.
Good place.
Svenson
And here I go again . . .
Much to Brian's disgruntlement, I am going to
make him plan-- choose-- help decide on our vacation for this summer THIS
early. We want to go to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival again and,
because we are members (thanks to the generosity of a Christmas Gift or
two) we can buy our tickets starting on January 3 (the "general public"
has to wait until February 15 to purchase their tickets) so we will have
an advantage in getting the seats and plays that we want this time.
The trip will be three nights (in-a-row) of plays and a day or two to drive
up and back. Maybe a side trip somewhere also but it depends on how
much time we have with the plays interrupting the middle weekend of our
two weeks of plans.
