Not to pick a fight but . . .
Don'tcha think someone should have said: "Hmmm, here we are in quiet little Hawaii and someone has just filed for their 17th gun permit. Curious, eh, Ollie?" I'm going to make a political statement, folks-- Step right up and hear it for yourself:
The NRA is out of its mind to think that we don't need gun control laws!!! PULLLEEEZE! In the land of paradise and pineapples, NOT Montana or Idaho where the deer and the antelope roam the purple mountain's majesty, this guy has 17 guns and no one questions why after about the 5th is purchased??? What is he gonna do with all of those guns??? Well, he's got a different gun for each one of his work uniforms and for weekends and . . . Then again, he doesn't have to do his gun maintenance but once every 17 days since he has a different outfit to wear with each GUN!!!!!!!!!!(Yes, I know Dr. Keyboard: you're just lovin' all of the question marks and exclamation points but, I'm a little fed up here, okay?)
AND all of this because he was afraid that they might be laying him off!!!!????!!!! Excuse me? Hey, yo buddy, you're not just laid off NOW, okay? Wouldn't it have been a whole lot smarter to take the "Package" that they probably would've given him and retire to The Big Island than no "Package" and wakin' up in the BIG HOUSE????
There are times when I have to wonder what it is that our forefathers meant when they said that we had a right to bear arms. I'm pretty sure that they didn't mean for teenagers to get guns, legally or otherwise, and bombs and blast-up schoolmates. I'm also pretty sure that they didn't mean that guys who were born and stayed in the 40s mentallyshould get hold of guns and shoot at innocent children because the daycare that they go to every day has a Star of David over the entranceway. And I'm pretty sure that they didn't mean that someone who is AFRAID he MAY be laid off from his job should own SEVENTEEN GUNS and go shoot up co-workers!!!!! Give me a break!!!!
I grew up in Michigan where, eventually the school systems figured out when pheasant and deer hunting seasons started and planned the school year accordingly. I'm not totally unaware that if you want to hunt and own two guns to do it, fine. If you have two guns, when one breaks (if "breaking" is something that a gun can do) and you HAVE to feed your family or aide in maintaining a balanced environment because of over-population in the neighborhood deer herd, you've got the second gun to continue your "work". But, I'm pretty sure that our forefathers didn't mean for you to step over the line in Prozac-Zone with your excessive ammunitions purchases in arms, to take out children of innocence (at any age) because "YOU HAD THE RIGHT"!!!!!! That's NOT A RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That type of thinking is a ridiculous waste of gray matter!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahem . . . thank you . . .
Okay, I'll step down from my soap-box now.
