Oh, Argh!!
I think I've mentioned before-- my sister in Michigan and I take turns calling my sister in Brazil. Well, last week was Karen's turn to call Sue but, I thought it was my turn so I called Sue, too. Sue didn't mind-- she likes hearing from us but the worst part is that it was my turn today but because of last week (I guess?!?!?) I got messed up and didn't remember to call her today!!! Oh, ARGH!!!! I did think about it once this morning but thought it was too early to call and then didn't remember again until 12 hours later when it was too late to call!! Oh, ARGH!!!!!!!!!! Well, they say that the brain is the first thing to go . . . at least I'm going in order!!
Hope Springs Eternal
My friend, Barbara, writes tonight and mentions that she hopes I can do a Christmas page next year. I do, too. We didn't want to make marks in the walls of the rental house that we have here in Maryland because . . . well, it isn't our house. The fewer marks, the more likely we are to get our deposits back. Since the house is already in better condition than when we took possession, you would think but, we don't want to draw ill fates by hanging all of our decorations, etc.
Hopefully, next year, we'll have our own house and we'll put every decoration we own up!! Then, I'll have a page for you all to visit. In the meantime, enjoy Barbara's Christmas Page-- she has a gorgeous house once again!!
Pills Sorted (and Sordid)
Well, my vitamins and pills are sorted for the next week-- that's always a struggle when you're up to 12 in the morning and 9 at night! As a result, I'm just about ready to wind it up for a night.
Thanks for stopping by-- I do appreciate the visits and the emails. Take care and have a good evening!

Remiss
Yes, I've been remiss about posting but that was for very good reasons: 1) I was tired (Friday) and 2) I was busy (today). Yesterday turned out to be a very long day at work even though nothing was actually finished. I'm working on more complicated deals right now and as a result, my brain is being taxed which is a good thing except for that exhaustion level at the end of the day when I get home.
Today, first thing, I got my nails done and when I got home, helped Brian with some chores around the house. Of course, he had most everything started and almost finished by the time I got home but, I helped as much as possible. Then, I took on the task of finishing my sister's Christmas present. Its a quilting project (with pictures to follow after Christmas for obvious reasons) and I have finally finished it. Yes, that'll definitely be sent by Federal Express on Monday morning!
Tomorrow appears to be more chores and errands-- a trip to a wholesale store (one of two these days) and the grocery store. From there? Maybe I can start the finish-up work on the swags for the living room and actually have them finished before we move? Man, wouldn't that be nice!!
Movie-Rama
In the last 24 hours I've watched a number of movies-- most have names that I can't remember but they were all good movies, nonetheless. "Quills" was last night and I just finished up "Along Came a Spider". In between there was a Gena Rowlands movie that was good as well as a couple of others-- great for sewing!!
That's about it for now-- more to come tomorrow, I'm sure! Have a great night!

Because I Warned You Last Night
That's why!! Unfortunately, outside of work, nothing to report. Brian's commute took a long time to get him home tonight but not as long as he'd expected. I worked until 6-- a very long day for me-- and I'm really tired. This weekend appears to be not much more than finishing up last minute projects and resting-- never can get enough of that!
Project Search-n-Find
I haven't done this for awhile but I thought I'd share some of the stranger search-engine locators with you. Should be interesting, eh?
Sewing Table: I've got a feeling that we should've patented Brian's design! This has been the top search engine find in my stats every month for the last four or five months!
Shark Mouth: This has got to be one where they didn't use their quotation marks-- I have never spoken about a "shark mouth" in my life-- I don't even know what it is!!
Mean Christmas Pictures: I don't think I've ever written about that!! That's terrible!!
Christmas Pictures from Venezuela: They'd be hard-pressed to find them on my site or anywhere else!
Gooses: No, I'm sure its geese or is it geeses?
Italian Runny Nose Cold: Like there's a difference from one country to the next? Yeah, right!
Well, as you can tell, its another charming month here at the Musings of My Mind-- yes, that is a frightening thought in and of itself!
Have a great evening!

Its Because of Black-Outs
If it weren't for the black-out period that we're in at work, I could tell you about my day. I have to admit that I must be a glutton for punishment: I enjoy being busy and that's a very good thing in my business.
As a result of that, however, I have nothing else to tell you about here which is not a good thing. When all you do is go to work and come home and collapse, there isn't a lot of conversation left, ya know?
I can tell you that on my way home from work tonight I stopped to pick up our turkey for next Wednesday-- Christmas day. (We're already looking forward to it!) It'll take awhile to thaw, of course, so that's why we bought it now.
For the First Time in My Career
Okay, not my entire career but my career at my job that I have now, we're going to have Christmas Eve off. In the three years that I've worked there, we've always had to work but this year we have it off. John tried to tell his office manager that she had to work-- which she believed until I asked her what she was doing on Christmas Eve. Whoops!! I let that slip and now, of course, she won't be at the office. Of course, no one else will be there either (or so the holiday schedule says) so we don't know who John is going to talk to while he's there working . . . by himself!
Sorry so short but, by the weekend, I'll have more that I can talk about if only because there are two days when I'm not involved with work!! Have a nice evening!

Virtually Non-Existent
I'm afraid that tonight's post isn't going to be much better than the post from last night/this morning. Yeesh!! I didn't get out of work until 5:30 and, while that doesn't sound bad, it is an extremely long day for me. My desk is always cleaned off at night though-- I can't stand leaving things unfinished!!
By the way, the vet last night recommended getting Sally's teeth cleaned-- not a problem since there are sooo few-- and as long as she was under anyway, we're going to remove a small cyst that's in between the pads of her front right paw. That explains all the licking!! It is a small cyst and probably benign but they have to run pathology on it to be sure. All of it is going to wait until February when her teeth-cleaning is scheduled.
Finishing Touches
I'm putting the finishing touches on the last Christmas present and the last box, other than this present, was sent out tonight. Ahhh, we're going to get done despite the rumors to the opposite! I've still got a few presents to wrap but they're for "locals" so we'll not worry about it until the weekend.
Sorry that this is so short but, once again, I'm tired-- just too much going on during the day, I think.
As always, thanks for stopping by and have a great evening/night!

No Time
After work last night, Sally had her annual check up (she's in perfect health, thanks!) so we got home around 6:30. I had my call to my sister at 7 so there was no time for a post then. When I got off the phone, I _*HAD*_ to go upstairs and sew the last of the binding on the gift for that same sister-- its my last present to finish for Christmas. That got finished about 8:50 and then, it was time to collapse for some vegetable time in front of the fridge.
As a result, you aren't seeing yesterday's post until today-- sorry. Confused yet? No? Then I haven't done my job properly!!
Strike that-- reverse it . . . Anyway, I've got 6 minutes to go until I get into the bathroom to get ready for work so this is it for this morning. I'll be back tonight with another update on life around the Bilbrey Belfry.
Have a great day!!
