Stupid is as Stupid Does

Boy do I feel silly!!  I brought my DeeOne to the Viking store this afternoon and, while it was nice to see my former co-workers, I am embarrassed to say that the problem was one that I could've fixed for myself!  In about 15 seconds, Linda (the manager), had it fixed and we (my co-worker Jema was there, too) sat down to chat for awhile.  Soon enough, those pesky customers came into the store and I left.  It was just as well since I was tired out from the shopping trip this morning.

The Usual

Well, first it was an apple, followed by a nap while watching "Two Weeks Notice".  Typical, eh?  I did get to see the end of the movie which means I didn't sleep "too long" but just enough to feel rested and lethargic.

I've done a little sewing since then and before making supper and a few lunches for the week.

Now, it is time for Sally's stick; I can tell because her head is on my knee telling me to go downstairs to get said stick.  (Its a chew stick for those of you without pets.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

(I did post on September 12 but forgot to link it properly-- go read it by clicking here.)

My Head Hurts!!!

My brain is just crammed full of information and house details and wallpaper and lot sizes and appliances and decks and amenities!!!  ARGH!!!  The first day of househunting wasn't successful but it wasn't unsuccessful either.  We did find one that we liked more than the others but then we came back to reality (and our budget) and decided not to get the really big house!!  There was another house that we liked almost equally with a slightly smaller master bathroom that, all together, was about $30K less than the house that we really liked.  This house, about the third one that we saw, is still on our list.  There are things that we could do to the first floor to make it more along the style that we want it to be while keeping the upstairs and downstairs in tact.

I'm really tired of thinking about it now though-- I cannot believe all of the ideas and thoughts that are going through my mind!!  Enough . . . for today!!

Crammed Full

Tomorrow appears that it will be just as crammed full of things to do as today simply because of the three or four things that we have to do.  First, we have to do the BJs run and then, we have to do the grocery store run and then Brian has work to do and I have a trip to make to Columbia to take DeeOne in for service.  Apparently it is a computer problem but its fixable except that I'll be without him for a week or so.  Oh, well, that's why I have a back-up machine!

I am Beat

And I am-- that's why I'm going to sign off on this for tonight.  I know it isn't much but, hopefully you understand.

Thanks for stopping by, take care of yourselves and have a great evening!

One Week Down

I made it through my first week back to work-- whew!!  I was tired when I left work which is why I left early.  I was home and asleep by 3:30, awake by 4:30 and on the phone with the mortgage banker at 5pm.  I spent the next hour running around the house and the internet trying to find the "justification" for the balance of our checking account.  Yeesh!!

Alas, but this is only the beginning . . . I am officially going to be a wreck at some point-- guaranteed!!

House Hunters

We've got about ten truly interesting houses to look at tomorrow but I know we won't get to all of them.  It is fun to plot and plan though.

DeeOne Sick

My Designer One is sick-- it came down with a computer failure this evening.  There is a possibility it can be fixed over the phone but, if not, I'll be making a trip to Columbia tomorrow evening.  This is why I've got two machines: I can sew on the Rose next week while DeeOne is out at the "sewing machine hospital".  Whew!!

And that, for tonight, is it!  I can't think of anything else that would be considered remotely exciting-- if I do, you'll be the first I tell!!

By the way, since I won't be able to sign on until later tomorrow evening, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAT!!!  It is my friend Pat's birthday tomorrow!!!  I was notified that my gift arrived so I'll try to give her a call tomorrow evening before she goes to use it after a busy week at work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Because of the solemnity of the day, I chose not to say anything since anything I would say would be so insignificant by comparison to the magnitude of this day.

I For-got!!
(Said in my most convincing Steve Martin voice immitation.)

After about 5pm yesterday, it was Wednesday.  It doesn't matter what the calendar said, I kept thinking that it was Wednesday.  Now that Wednesday is here, I keep thinking this is Tuesday.  Go figure!

Okay, now what I forgot was the fact that this is the second Wednesday which means I have the Quilt Guild meeting tonight.  At least I remembered now instead of at 8:45pm which is my usual trick lately.

I'll be going to that and, in the meantime, trying to get some other things done so I won't be able to post much here.

Hope all is well with all of you-- we're doing great but we're anxiously awaiting looking for a house!  Man, this is too interesting and, yes, nerve-racking but what did you expect?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Some Help I Am!!

You can't know that I update if I don't tell you about it, eh?  Well, here's a link to last night's post and sorry for any confusion.

Busy Day

It was a busier day at work today which was a good thing and then, at 5pm, it just got worse.  I had to go to the LAWCenter to weigh in and get the next step of the program.  That took close to 45 minutes to go through and then I headed over to the fabric store to get some blouse fabric.  While I was there, I found some fabric to make curtains for a co-worker's office (a joke from Judy and I) and then, it was off to the grocery store.  It was nearly 7:30 when I got home and frankly, I am beat!

I haven't had a nap today (obviously) and I don't have the energy to exercise.  We'll try that number again tomorrow and see how far we get.

Signing off for tonight-- thanks for your patience.  Have a good evening!

No Restrictions!!!!

I went to the doctor today and, of course, the words were:  No Restrictions!!!  YEAH!!!! I was actually excited to go back to work today!!!!!!!!!!!  Everyone was really nice to me, too and I got lots of "miss-yous" from my sales folks!!!

Wow-- I am a truly sick puppy, aren't I?

Busy AM

This morning started out with me "fasting" for a blood test for my new endocrinologist.  She ordered a test for my cholesterol level as well as for my TSH.  I found out, while I was there and when it was toooooo late to do anything about it, that I could've had water all night last night and black coffee this morning!!  Man, was I ticked!!!

Anyway, after that, I came home and made my breakfast after giving Sally her pills.  While eating breakfast (getting ready for the multi-tasking that awaited me at the office), I read websites and the news and my email and . . . then, I took my shower.  I left with enough time to stop at the vet's office to drop off some medication that they're letting us return (its the stuff that made Sally sick).

Then I went up to my doctor's office.  In both his building and the parking lot for the lab, they were having free parking today so I felt really lucky to have two appointments on the same day-- NOT!!  I did try to change them but, if I had, I may not have seen the old coot in the BIG Caddie hit the car he was parked next to-- twice!!!  That ticked me off (yes, I reported him) mostly cuz he went back for seconds, didn't stop to check for any damage (and yes there was some!) and didn't leave a note!  I stopped on my way out, after trying to get him to stop, to tell the attendant about it.  Then, on the street, he was doing an even worse job of driving-- that was a scary thing, let me tell ya!!

Well, with all of my exciting day, I came home and took a nap and now I feel like I have some energy.  I've got the mortgage company stuff together (only about 3/8" of papers) so I can make copies and send it off tomorrow.

Guess that's all for now-- I'm going to go see what the fabric on my table is doing.  I'll bet I'll be able to iron it and lay it out tonight!!

Thanks for stopping by-- hope you have a great week and a wonderful evening!
