Archive of Marcia's Musings April 5-11, 2004Whatever That Is
Looks like things are starting to go back to normal a bit around here-- we went to do our errands this morning but were stopped due to store closures for the holiday. No biggie-- they'll be open tomorrow. When we came home, we re-potted the soil in the pots that'll live on the deck this morning-- that was fun. I also planted some of the summer blooming daffodils from the gift that Pat gave me for my birthday-- thanks again! They're going to look really pretty! (I should have the balance of my order at the office tomorrow-- my drop point-- and will pot the other bulbs tomorrow night in the area surrounding the daffodils.)
After some lunch and a call to my sister in Brazil, I layed down with Lucy on the sofa in the living room-- never such a thing as a nap that is long enough so I probably slept longer than I should have.
I came upstairs and was going to run some more designs but decided that I wanted to organize the designs that I've downloaded from the web. I have a bunch of them (probably over 500) and I'm not pleased with their current organization which is probably closer to non-existent than useable.
After that, I'll respond to some more email and start drafting my trip report from last week-- how's that for a deal?
As always, thanks for stopping by-- take care and have a good evening!
Saturday, April 10, 2004Best Intentions
Even though a week has passed since I last wrote, I have to tell you that I really did intend to update here every day. Its just that between visiting all of the memorials (we saw a lot of dead people's stuff!) and the monuments and the this and the that, there was little or no energy or time left by the end of the day while my sister was here visiting. We had a wonderful time and got to see just about everything that we wanted to see. I now know that I've got a few things that I know to set up for when my niece comes in July-- you just can't walk into the Washington Monument anymore!
We had a wonderful time and, after I spend some serious time in front of my computer over the weekend, I will get back to you with a "trip report" so that you can see everywhere that we went.
Thanks for your patience and your patronage-- I'll hopefully be a whole lot more "daily" here in my journal!
Have a good evening!
