ThursFriday, February 12, 2004Felt Like It
It did-- it felt like a Friday all day and, since I'm not going to work tomorrow (because of a vacation day), it was a Friday today!!! YEAH!!!! One can never have too many Fridays in a week, I always say.
Work was uneventful but I spent some time tonight getting ready for my sewing marathon this weekend. Really, I spent time trying to clear off my sewing table but, there's still more work there. I'll finish that up tomorrow morning.
Posts here will be "sketchy", at best but bear with me-- I might throw something up there.
Thanks for stopping by-- have a great evening!
Wednesday, February 11, 2004Coulda Guessed
Yep, if you didn't-- you shoulda . . . I was just tooooo tired! That's why I didn't post last night. Between the seminar, traffic and running around afterward, I just didn't feel like it.
I did, however, finish yet another book in the Sue Grafton series ("M") and I've started on "N". No, these books will not be lasting me the prescribed six weeks but, you can't say I didn't try and/or enjoy them while they did last!
Work??
After being out for two days in a seminar, I'm going to be taking Friday off so that I have a FULL 4-DAY WEEKEND!! Yeah!!! Guess what I'm going to do???
Give up???? SEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can hardly wait!!! Okay so once night we're going to go out to a show ("Love is in the Air" on Valentines night) and, of course, we'll do our errands on Sunday but, other than that, we're talking CONCENTRATED sewing time!!!!
I can hardly wait!!!!
Okay, I realize that this isn't much but, I have to go back to my reading-- have a good evening!

Not So Bad
Not only did the class go better than I thought it would but, I actually know more than I thought I knew about contracting with the government. That was pretty cool, needless to say and, of course the best part was that it will end up paying off in the long run.
How, you ask? Well, quite simply with the future of my career. This is the DC area and, as such, more jobs than not are government-related. The more I know about working with the government, the more I'll be able to work with the government. It'll make sense some day-- hopefully soon.
Anyway, I was glad to get home today because my head was pounding but, that's nothing new when it comes to learning stuff. It was all interesting and very informative and I'm actually looking forward to going back tomorrow.
Wednesday will be another story however . . . I'll tell you more about that as it develops.
Link Fest
Last week I had quite a little Link Fest going, didn't I? Yes, well, it continues-- go see the cutest doggies in the world over here and here. Enjoy and let them relax you vicariously over the internet. They're such sweeties!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a good evening!
