Things to Do?

Well, I'd like to say so but, frankly, it wasn't that interesting.  So far, we've both done a lot of "R-n-R" and it has felt pretty good.  We did some shopping yesterday morning and then, we came home and I napped (of course).  Last night I read finishing up "G" in the Sue Grafton series.

After running our errands this morning, we went to the library so I could get "H" through "Q".  You could say that I've got my reading for the next six weeks set, eh?  Brian signed up for his library card and got some books, too.

Then, more naps and waiting for the Big Snow Storm to come in.  Either it is another fizzler or it is going to be a lot lighter than they had predicted-- again.  This is the 4th storm of the season that hasn't happened and I want it to!!  I want to be snowed IN!!!

Sorry about the lack of posts but as you can see, you didn't miss much.  I appreciate your stopping by just the same-- take care of yourselves and have a good evening!

Good Reason

There's a very good reason that I didn't post yesterday: there's nothing to tell you about!!  Yeesh!!  Could life get anymore boring??  No, I guess I could have another surgery-- wouldn't that be fun??

Okay, so, I'm feeling a lot better albeit a little on the tired side.  I guess that's to be expected (per Don Armstrong and my sister, I "had major surgery"!!) and should be slacking off a bit soon enough.  I'm eating normally (almost) with two exceptions: fresh vegetables-- I'm not really "craving" them yet but I would like to try a salad this weekend.  Once I get past fresh vegetables, the next exception to get through will be "spicy foods"-- I've gotta be able to eat Italian and Mexican once in awhile!!

Baby steps, eh?

Re-Org Complete

I've finally got all of my design files organized!!  Yeah!!!!!  Would be nice if that weren't such an ordeal but there are so many wonderful designs out there!  I've bought many designs and have enough to last me for quite awhile.  In addition to the ones that I've purchased, there are also a ton of freebies on the web that are really good quality.  If I stitch everything out, I'll be at it forever!!

Reunions

My father's oldest brother died last weekend; he and my dad are fishing together again, I'm sure.  The neat thing about his passing is that my sister ran into a cousin of mine that I haven't talked to in about 20 years!!  Carol and I have emailed each other once-- lots to catch up on though.  This is how my cousin, Barb, and I got together-- through another of my father's brothers passing.  The situation is sad but if it brings family closer together, why not?

Hi Carol!!

Okay, that's it for me-- I'm going to sign off and see if I can veg for a little while tonight.

Have a great evening!

Long Day

I was at work almost the whole day today-- that was a long time when you think about my last few days.  I've been working up to it but I didn't think I'd gotten there yet.  Apparently, I was wrong.

Yes, Karen-- I know-- it was major surgery but I'll go to bed early, okay?

:>)

Organization Continues

I'm trying to organize all of my downloaded embroidery designs.  That doesn't sound like a big deal but I have downloaded a lot of them over the past few months.  I'll hopefully get through some more tonight and then, I'll be set to actually get started doing some things for myself and other people!

That'll be fun.

I know this is short but, as I said, I'm tired and I've got some things to do.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

New Introductions

If you know anyone who has gone through my most recent surgery, you know that you have to re-introduce foods on a slow basis.  I've been eating fat free for the last week and am starting to move into low-fat items now.  Tons of fun!  Then there's the spices!  I had catsup with my lunch today-- thankfully, there were no problems.  That means that I add something else new tomorrow . . . what entertainment, eh?

Office Time

Tomorrow, I'm going to go back to the office for the first time in more than a week.  While I have a VPN at home, it is just easier to work at the office.  I've already warned Lee (Judy's on vacation) that I'll be wearing sweats.  Man, I am so glad I'm not in corporate anymore!

Organization

I've been working on getting my sewing/quilt books and magazines and embroidery designs organized.  Today I've been particularly working on my embroidery designs.  I'm going to be putting all of my quilting books and magazines on my desktop and I also want to organize the designs so that I can find what I'm looking for when I need it.  I'm currently paying a low fee for a subscription but perhaps I can not renew if I get everything organized-- wouldn't that be nice!

Best get to it-- thanks for stopping by and for the notes and emails . . . they've all been appreciated.

Take care of yourselves and have a good evening!

Checking In  . . . Again

I'm here.  I've been "Resting and Recuperating" since my last post on Friday.  I think I had good reason.  I'm feeling better and even worked from home today.  I'll do the same tomorrow and then go into the office on Wednesday (probably).

I don't hurt very much but its the occasional lurch in the wrong direction-- that being the direction that causes pain.  As far as food is concerned, I'm really glad we've figured out how to make soooo many foods "Fat Free".  I'll be able to go to low-fat foods shortly and, then, of course, be back on a "normal" diet but, having experienced the pain of eating the wrong thing already, I won't rush that, okay?  Thanks-- I appreciate that.

Pardon the short post but there isn't much to report tonight as you can imagine.

See you tomorrow?  I hope so!  Have a good evening!
