One Less

This morning when I got to work, I spoke with the sales rep responsible for the account for which I would be traveling to Connecticut.  He agreed with my suggestion of writing an email expressing the need to firm things up by COB today if I was to go to meet with them there.

So, I sent my email, including delivery and read receipts; the email has never been received (computer not turned on) and, obviously, I have received a read receipt, either.  Okay, not a problem-- guess I'm not going to Connecticut, eh?  That's okay-- I've got enough travel on my plate for now, don'tcha think?  Yep, me, too!

Clean-Up

Much to my husband's surprise, I'm going to try to clean all three of my upstairs rooms tomorrow, in between working on stuff from the office.  I'm working from home and have a lot of stuff to work on but, I'd like to get my office and fabric room cleaned up for sure.

I've decided, by the way, that there are not enough hours in my day-- I'd like an additional four, thank you.  Why?  Because I'd like to have more time for sewing-- there is sooooo much beautiful fabric out there and I have soooooo many ideas of things to make with it but I just don't have enough time-- not fair!!

Well, I'll work on it.

That's it for tonight, I guess-- thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

Falling Into Place

Its always interesting to me to see when a plan comes into place-- how about you?

Plan 1: Let the new law firm that we're going to use in Brasil have the fear that I could be there at a moment's notice.  I was under the impression that I would be, if needed, traveling on ten days "notice" due to having to get a visa for each trip.  I didn't realize (or remember) that my visas for Brasil are good for FIVE YEARS!!  Yeah!!  That'll help!!  If I have to go down there on a moment's notice, at least I can NOW!

Plan 2: The new law firm-- I want them to be able to service the local office easily.  The new law firm that we've chosen, even though we didn't know it at the time that we chose them, is located in the SAME building as our Brasilian office!!!  Talk about convenient!!  WOW!!

Everything seems to be cooking on all four burners for them now-- I'm really excited at the prospect of growing that business.  It should be a really cool adventure, don'tcha think?

*****
I hate to say it but there isn't a lot else going on around here-- that's a Good Thing these days, let me tell ya.  I haven't heard any more about Connecticut but I'll give them until COB tomorrow to come through with some word about a possible trip.  If not, its just too short on notice to make it a possibility, I'm sure.

Oh, well-- its not like I don't have enough going on, eh?

Have a good night!

Officially Speaking . . .

This just about covers that, eh?

Yeah, we think so, too-- since we received soooo many emails about Sue when she was being hospitalized and surgerized (new word-- thank YOU very much!), I thought sharing that update with you made sense.

Fried

I don't like being back from vacation.  (That's a huge revelation, isn't it?  I thought so, too!)  My mind is back on July 9, before I left for California and, trying to remember ANYTHING that happened before then is just toooooo ridiculous!  Yeesh!!  I can't wait until I get both of my oars in the water again!

Travel Season

Okay, so the trip to Brazil is firmed up but, there's a trip for a negotiation flapping in front of me:  I may have to go to Connecticut next week.  No, believe it or not, this is still out of my region: the company's home base is in Tampa, Florida but their negotiator is in Connecticut (that's such a WEIRD name for ANYthing!).

He can't decide when to have me come up but, the worst part is that he's going to Europe the next week and, of course, my trip to Brazil is the two weeks after that-- nope, its next week or next month and believe me, John doesn't want us waiting until next month!!

I'll keep you posted on that-- should be interesting to see how this shakes out, eh?  Yeah, I'm thrilled, too.

Have a good night!

Oh, Yeah-- I'm Sure That's It

Thrilled-- you bet.  That's me . . . just thrilled to be back at work.  Yeah, right.

Sisters, Sisters

As an update about my sisters, Karen and Sue, let me fill ya in:  Karen is back home after having spent 3-1/2 weeks in Brazil helping Sue and 2 weeks in Mexico on a mission called "MOSES".  Karen finally reached home again, after 5-1/2 weeks, on Sunday.  Her cats probably don't remember who she is!

Susan, my sister in Brazil, is recovering beautifully from all of her surgeries!!  She's doing really well and is being well-taken care of by some of the folks from her church.  One family went away on vacation and "sent" their cook/housekeeper to help out-- after pre-paying her salary for the month!

Other than that, there's not a whole lot of new stuff to report-- just winding down the month.  I can hardly wait.

;>)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!
