Our Babygirl

Sally went to sleep today.  She'll be chasing bunnies that are slower than they used to be in our yard.

We will miss her but we were blessed to have her with us for the time we had-- it wasn't long enough but . . .

Busy Day

Since I have a 9:30pm conference call tonight, I left the office at 5:30.  I was busy all day and pushed through a lot of paper!  Lee wants to start tracking our work but I don't have time to read her email about it soooo, we've agreed that we'll start it in April.

Sally

Sally is not doing well tonight.  She's refusing to eat her food and she's not doing really great on her cookies either.  She did know when "stick time" was and ate her "stick" which is a good thing.  Brian suggested that she knows that her time is up so she's going to stop eating.  I think its the antibiotics-- she's on some really intense pills and we have to stuff them down her mouth.  Not fun!  We'll keep you posted.

Thanks for stopping by-- my conference call is in a few minutes so I'll sign off of here.  Have a good evening.

Looooonnnnnnnggggggggg Day

I left the house at 7:05am and returned at 8:20pm.  I'm exhausted and, I have an appointment at 8:30am tomorrow and a conference call at 9:30pm tomorrow night.

I wanted this promotion, right?  ;>)  I'm joking!  Officially speaking, I am extremely happy to be this busy but, I am going to sign off and go to sleep fairly soon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Enlighten me, please?

What does the rest of the world do when you've got a big meeting at the customer's office tomorrow and don't have that perfect scarf to wear?  Me?  I make it!!  I made a scarf a little while ago to go with the suit that I'll be wearing to a customer's office tomorrow.  This'll be my second (I think-- maybe third) face-to-face negotiation since being on the east coast.  As far as I know, that's more than anyone else has had in the department!

I'm nervous and worried but, the buyer specifically asked me to be there so that we can draft any changes that are needed for the document.  That doesn't happen very often, needless to say, so I feel a little honored.

Long Day's Journey

Since the customer is located in Virginia, it'll be a very long day for me tomorrow.  I'm going to meet the sales rep at the office hopefully at 7:30 and then follow him over to the customer's location.  If I get lost?  Well, we'll just hope I won't, eh?  Then, I'll drive to a Center location in Virginia, back to the office in Reston, and then back to the customer's office later in the afternoon.  From the sound of it, I won't be starting for home until at least 6pm which means I should, hopefully, make it by 9pm.  I'll probably fall right fast asleep the second I walk in the door!!  It'll definitely be a LONG day, eh?

Sally Update

Sally is almost cured but she at least is doing better than she was-- the infection is just about gone but it is pretty bad so she's on the antibiotic for a few more weeks.  Hopefully, this'll clear up and she can go back to "normal" whatever that is, even for her!

Guess that's all for tonight-- have a good one and maybe I'll see you tomorrow.

First Things First!!

Our niece, Alexandra, is having a BIRTHDAY today!!!  Alex received a hand-made gift from Brian and me-- you can see it over there on the left.  A t-shirt specifically designed for the dreams that all girls must have in their life.  She also received a pillow on which to make up the details of those dreams-- it is not for sleeping however because she's just way too old for naps!!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Alex-- big kisses from us, too!!

If you want all of the text of the "Instructions for Use" document, it is located here.

I did not make up this design-- I downloaded it from the web and, while I would like to give credit where credit is due, I can't find the website again!!

Quite Done In

Now that I'm handling two regions, I'm quite tired at night, ya know?  Brian started the laundry but I've only got the energy for one more dryer load-- that'll mean two are finished tonight.  Another problem with being downstairs is that when I'm tired (as I am tonight), I tend to want to eat to "stay awake".  Yeah, I know its a lame excuse.

Anyway, to avoid that, I've decided to come upstairs and start to see what trouble I can get into next-- without my friend, DeJuan (my Designer1)!  DeJuan broke down yesterday morning-- he stopped talking between the embroidery arm and the computer.  SOOOO, that means I made a trip to Columbia yesterday to get the machine in for service.  I hate when that happens!!

Anyway, I should get him back in the next day or two.  I'm going to run designs on some towels-- my next big project.  While I'm running the designs, I'm going to be working on some cushions for Mary, Judy's sister.  She isn't a very experienced seamstress and tried taking on the reupholstery work-- not an easy task when you do know what you're doing!  Sooo, that's what I'm going to be working on in the meantime.

I'm going to go cut the patterns, etc. so I'm going to sign off for tonight.

If I owe you an email, bear with me-- I'll get to ya!  I'm really behind on that stuff right now!

Take care of yourselves and have a good evening!
