I'm Back

I am tired-- 2-1/2 hour drive after a day of meetings (and a little shopping thrown in for good measure) but I am very glad to be home.  Its amazing how you can be away from your husband and dog for only one day and miss them like you were gone for a week.  What am I going to do when I go to Brazil???  Yeesh!!!

Good News!!

My sister, Susan, had a surgery in Sao Paulo to "pack" the infected area with antibiotics.  There were a few other places that were damaged by the amount of infection but, overall, she came through the surgery well.  Very good news-- your greetings will be relayed to her and thanks!  Whew!!

I'm going to knock off early-- I can't wait to get to the office tomorrow!  I feel like I've been out for a week from there but not because I missed it-- I didn't have email access at the hotel!!

Take care, thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Truth Be Told

Yep, we had the Thompsons' up here again-- Duncan and Malcolm included.  I do believe, as the pictures will show, that our Little Lucy has a crush on Duncan or at least, that's the concensus that Barbara and I came to on Monday.

Of course, we had another wonderful weekend with them and much shopping was done by both Barbara and I.  I also gave her the quilted wall-hanging and pillows that I made for her as early Christmas and birthday presents-- I just couldn't wait to give them to her.  We had a nice time at our little holiday picnic gathering with the Kittermans and Mike Mills.

Barbara will have pictures and Brian has some, too-- of course, I got a few shots of the wall-hanging before they left so I'll get that up as soon as Brian has them downloaded for me.

My Sister, Susan

Once again, my sister Susan is in the hospital.  She has caught a stomach virus and, not being fully recovered from the surgery, she hasn't done well in getting over it.  In fact, she's done extremely bad to the point where she is back in the hospital, trying to get re-hydrated.  I worry about her so much but, her husband, Bill, has her under constant watch and surveillance lest she make an unauthorized move.

Happy thoughts, prayers and good wishes are requested for her again.  I'll keep you posted as I hear things about her condition.

Now that I'm Back from the Weekend . . .

I'll not be posting Wednesday or Thursday nights as I have to go to an off-site that will be an overnighter at Rehoboth Beach, Maryland.  I'm looking forward to it from the aspect that I'll get to see the Atlantic Ocean and not from the standpoint that my husband, Brian, won't be with me.  Another time, he'll come but on this one, he can't-- bummer.

Anyway, I won't be back until Thursday evening (quite late) so I'll post on Friday, per usual.

Thanks for stopping by and pictures will follow SOON-- have a good evening!

Update on My Sister

My sister has been transferred to Sao Paulo.  This is a 250 mile trek by car/bus.  I don't know how they are transporting her but this isn't good.  The hospitals in Sao Paulo are bigger and, by comparison, better equipped to help with her situation so that is a help.  My brother-in-law is traveling there tonight by car; pray for him to have a safe journey.  Please say a whole bunch of prayers for my sister-- think positive thoughts and send lots of wishes to get her better.
