I'm on vacation so posts here will be sporadic, at best.
I started out my vacation by sleeping in today, doing a little shopping, and, of course, a little napping. Tonight, I've been exploring the Electric Quilt 5 program that Brian got me for Christmas. What fun I'm going to have with this program!!!
Since I've also got one more Christmas project to complete, I'm not going to get into it too much but, I'm just having a little fun exploring tonight.
Tomorrow is our usual routine and then, Monday I've got a doctor appointment to go to along with the laundry to do. Vacation means relaxing, right? I'll get some in-- you know me!!

Thursday, November 18, 2004Did I Mention?
My company is "shutting down" the finance and legal offices EVERYwhere next week!! It is being done as a reward for hard work and to prepare us for the upcoming end-o-quarter/end-o-fiscal year month. I thought it was terribly generous, don't you? Well, because we can't NOT have anyone in the office at all, Lee is taking her three days (we always get Thursday and Friday off so these aren't counted in this "holiday") this week and then she'll be in the office to cover for the rest of us next week. The west coast office has their own back-up person that'll be in to help them out. Pretty cool, huh? I thought so, too.
House of Domination Question
Last night and today, Mr. Ebony has been trying to gain house domination over Miss Lucy. Its either that or something got reversed without anyone knowing it-- if you know what I mean. Anyway, Lucy snarled at him this morning, cautioning him that she would go for the eyes first if he didn't knock it off. Its always fun to watch the dynamics between animals, isn't it?

I've got a lot of hand-sewing to do!! My mother- and sister-in-laws' Christmas presents are finished except for the hand-sewing! That means, tomorrow night, I get to start the task of finishing my sister's wall-hanging. I'll have plenty of time for all, of course-- its just sooo fun being ALMOST there!
Early Christmas
As you already know, Brian, my beloved husband, spoils me. Yes, he does and I admit it-- I'm a VERY lucky woman!! He asked me what I wanted for Christmas and, at first my reply was simply: "Guilt-free fabric shopping!" In other words, a gift certificate but, today I had a better idea: Electric Quilt 5!! Guess what I stopped at my Favorite Quilt Shop to pick up tonight? Yep, Brian thought it was a good idea, too!!!
I am SOOOOO lucky!!! Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me . . . Merry Christmas Lucky Marcia, Merry Christmas to ME!

Tuesday, November 16, 2004Mondays Are Not Good
They just aren't! I'm always tired out after a weekend off and getting back into the groove of working. I come home from work and sew on something and, by 6pm and dinner time, I'm exhausted and not doing anything for the night.
On top of that, my sister and I have our weekly call and, unfortunately, there's nothing to tell her about! Man, things are really slow around here! Hopefully, the pace will pick up as we get closer to the holidays but, then again if it does, I still won't have time to write here!
Oh, the woes, eh?
