Recuperation and Preparation

I haven't posted for a few days because I've been busy "getting over" the end-o-quarter day of Thursday.  I was at work by 7AM and on the phone with a customer, closing at deal at 7:30-- well worth the early rising.  Then it was on to the next customer and the next and the next and . . . you get the idea.  We were at the office until 8PM which made for a long day.

Lee, Dan and I went out for dinner afterwards and re-hashed stuff.  It made for a good quarter-end-- Dan, even though he is new, is extremely smart and capable and that makes such a difference!!  THe last two quarter-ends were just Lee and I and boy, that makes for a long day, indeedy!

Anyway, Friday was spent feeling like I was hung over-- I couldn't believe how "out of it" I felt!  Through most of the day yesterday, I felt much the same and am just coming out of it now, because I have a few things on my "To Do" list for the day.

Preparations are afoot for the Bilbrey Belfry B&B occupants: First to arrive will be my niece, Natali, on Friday.  We're going to take her to a crafts festival and that's about all that's planned for her visit-- the rest will be up to her. (I'd like to start having all of our nieces and nephews come to visit but I think only she and Faye will be interested.  Nephews aren't so enthusiastic about traveling to see an aunt and uncle.)

On Sunday evening, Marli arrives from Brasil-- that should be a fun week.  On Monday, I'll take her and Natali to my office to meet and greet my co-workers and see where I work.  Other than that, no plans are made.  Tuesday, Natali will return to Michigan and Marli and I are on our own!  There's plenty of shopping trips to be made along with a jog up to Amish country (Lancaster County, Pennsylvania) to see the start of quilting in America.  Should be a fun week.

Molly Sue Gets a Website

Well, I'm going to get the pictures organized from when Molly first came to live with us to get her website organized . . . one of these very soon days.  I know I've been bad at this but it has also been a couple of busy months since her arrival.

Hopefully, I'll have time to work on her website and my sister's later today.  I've also got some email to respond to and, as usual, I'm behind on that, too.

So I'll sign off for now so I can get my day started-- have a great one!

I'm Here

Finally . . . but not for long.  Today was an 11 hour day and tomorrow?  I'll be lucky if I'm out of the office by 9pm.  Yeesh!!  That's after starting tomorrow morning at 7am-- we've got a call shortly thereafter to finish off an agreement.  Tons-o-fun, eh?

I actually enjoy this-- I've decided that I'm an adrenalin junkie.  I suppose there are worse things.

Sorry so short but I want to spend time with Brian and the Girls tonight . . . thanks for stopping by and have a good evening!

Busy Week

Yep, this is going to be a busy week.  Long days and waiting for things to happen.  I hate that but I'll get used to it . . . by Thursday.

The weekend, even though I didn't tell you atthe time, involved a little shopping on Saturday and Sunday and a good play.  That was fun!

As a result, however, there isn't a lot happening around here.  I finished the top of my sister-in-law's Christmas present.  Hopefully, this weekend I'll get some major sewing time in-- I am hoping!!

Other than that, the game continues afoot.  Have a good one!
