Busy-ness Continues

I've got a customer call today on a contract that we've been negotiating for almost all of my tenure at the new job.  Obviously, this has been going on for a very long time and needs to end sooner, hopefully, rather than later.  I will tell you that when the contract is finally agreed to (and we're only one point apart at this part), I am going to make it sound like a birth announcement when I let corporate know that the contract is finished.  Yeesh!!

Tomorrow is Lucy's annual check-up and that, along with my dentist appointment today, has my schedule more jammed up than usual.  Another Yeesh!!

Other than that, all is well.  Hope the same for you-- have a good one!

Nothing New

Just sewing and work and work and sewing.  That's going to be my life for the next few weeks but I'll try to spice things up a bit.  Last night, I went to Linda Rose's new condo to help prep for Brian's going over there to paint today.  Apparently, we didn't get enough of it finished and he spent many hours today finishing up the prep work.  Update at noon was that he had just started the painting.  Yes, I'll be nice and give him a massage when he gets home.

Still fighting a cold-- have a good day!

Joy!!!

Yes, that's another one of those tongue-n-cheek things: I'm sick or at least, making a really good effort to come down with a cold.  Sometimes, because we keep our thermostat set low for conservation, it is difficult to discern between a fever and a chill in the air.  Last night, I began to notice a difference: with a chill, you don't have a light perspiration on your brow-- you have a fever!

Oh, well, I'll take care of myself and be thankful that I work from home "normally" anyway so who will know that I'm sick?  I get five sick days a year and, if I don't use them as sick days, I can take them as time off like vacation days.  Pretty cool, eh?

More Completed

Over the weekend, I finished my brother-in-law's quilt and have been working on a quilt that I'm only quilting for someone from Curves.  She did the piecing, what little there was, and I'm doing the quilting part.  It was a terribly plain quilt but I'm dressing it up with Christmas redwork-- it'll look a lot better when I'm finished with it and I get a little extra money on the side.

For now, that's all-- take care and have a good day!
