Cool!!

Not only do Brian and I have the day off on a long holiday/anniversary weekend but we're going to the Amish market!!  I've been trying to get him to go with me for months because of the furniture that they have there.  I'd either like to buy one of their secretary desks for the library or show him how its made so he can make one.  He'll have fun inspecting that stuff as well as seeing the food and, of course, enjoying a REAL home made breakfast out.

I'd best be getting ready-- I have to shower after my work out!!

Have a good day-- and weekend!!!

Busy Day Ahead

Besides work, I've got to do the laundry and get my office cleaned up.  I don't want to have to mess with it over the weekend-- its going to be a holiday weekend for us-- I want to be able to relax and do what I want to do.  Hopefully, I shall succeed!

Stats

Wanna explain what's going on with my stats?  A year ago, I had a little over 14,000 page reads per month.  This year, for the month of May, I have over 66,000 and the month isn't finished yet!!  Now, while I would love to suggest that I am becoming a more popular blogger to read, I doubt that's it.  More than likely, its webcrawlers but talk about generating hits!!  YEESH!!

I'd best get on with my day-- have a good one!

Mind Like a Steel . . . Sieve

Last night, while in front of my computer, I thought of something that I should tell you about.  Today, as I sit in front of my computer, I can't think of a thing to say.  Yeesh!!

This can't be a good sign, huh?  Yeesh!

Reading

Last night I finished up Deborah Donnelly's "Death Takes a Honeymoon".  I love her writing style and character development, which is something I'm paying attention to these days.  I just didn't expect the ending that came-- she set up the ending well but I still wasn't prepared for it.  Well done!!

Also, in keeping with the suggestion from our class, on Monday night I finished "Lullaby" by Ed McBain.  The instructor in our class, Noreen Wald, keeps talking about how Mr. McBain does such fabulous dialogue and writing.  I don't agree, having read this one book but maybe I chose the wrong book-- I found it confusingly written although the dialogue was engaging.  Maybe that was her point.

Another book that is constantly in discussion at this class, even though it isn't a mystery, is "Auntie Mame" which is my all-time favorite movie.  I finally bought a copy of it and started reading that last night.  The silly thing is that I keep seeing the movie as I read-- fun!

If I think of what I was going to tell you about last night, I'll write it up tonight and publish tomorrow.  That's _*IF*_ I remember!!

Have a good day!

Not a Lot More

There isn't a lot more to report today.  More work (that's definitely a Good Thing) and that's about it.

I suppose I should look at it from the standpoint that the dogs haven't given me anything to be concerned about lately.  Lucy has been cute and sweet and Molly has been . . . eating dirt.  Yes, she's an interesting dog.  Very interesting.

Sometime in the next month, I do need to get Lucy in for her annual check on her liver.  She needs to be checked because of her use of Rimadyl.  When I do that, I'm also going to have them check her thyroid.  She's developing the same discoloration that Sally had on her tummy because of thyroid problems.

Well, that was terribly interesting, wasn't it?  Yeah, I thought so, too.

I'll save you from any more ramblings . . . Have a good day!

Busy Time

Posts are going to be short, if not totally non-existent this week.  Lots on the agenda-- work is getting busier and, as a result, I have less free time for here, along with everything else.

I'll try to keep you posted on "the big stuff", whatever that is.

Thanks for stopping by-- have a good day!
