Much To Do

Today's going to be a full day as Linda Rose and I are going to go to my favorite quilt shop to do a little shopping-- no fabric for me-- mostly to show her the place so that she has somewhere to take her machines for service.  We'll probably catch lunch out, too and then, come back and do whatever until it's time for Brian and I to go to see Riverdance.  That's a continuation of our anniversary celebration, of course.

Yes, it'll be another busy day at the Bilbrey Belfry-- no rest for the contented.

Hope you have a great day, too!

Oh, Boy!

I got a notice yesterday-- I'm up for Jury Duty in July.  I can hardly wait!

In an effort to avoid Jury Duty (oh, come on-- who doesn't try to get out of it!), I joined the ACLU yesterday.  Apparently, that's a good reason to reject a juror-- at least in California.  Another reason to get out of it is my occupation-- being involved with legal stuff, I tend to think I know what I'm talking about and may think that something isn't right when it comes to the proceedings in court.

Between the two, I'm hoping I won't get seated on the jury.  This is one of the major drawbacks to voting-- you get called for Jury Duty.  More people would vote if they thought that it wouldn't affect them as adversely as this but, that's just my opinioin.  I was too interested in getting "W" out of office last year to worry about it at the time.

Reading Time

I'm reading one of the books from the Noreen Wald "Ghostwriter Series"-- she's a very descriptive writer which, of course, makes the book more interesting and fun to read.  I've also continued to work on mine having been inspired not only by the class but by the advice and interest provided by Bob and Barbara over the weekend.

I'm really starting to get into it so it should continue to be fun and start flowing a lot easier soon.

Anyway, that's about it for today-- have a good one!

Forgot!!

I remembered to post yesterday at about 11:15pm when my eyes were slamming shut!  It just completely slipped my mind!

In the morning yesterday, I had to go back for a follow-up mammogram to make sure that everything was alright yet.  If you'll recall, in December I had a little problem and this was just a check to make sure that it wasn't a problem again.  All's well, thanks for asking!

Last night, we went to another of our classes at the Smithsonian.  This included a book reviewer/critic for the Post that had a lot of helpful information to relay to us-- definitely an interesting class.

Next week's class is going to include an instructor that is a forensic police detective.  That one appears to be REALLY interesting-- can't wait!!

Anyway, yesterday ended up being a very busy day because of the doctor stuff and work and the class.  I'm not sure that I remember if I took a breath or not during the day!!

Today is more of the usual-- work and whatever else I can jam into the day.  Hope you have a good one at whatever you do, too!

Truth be Told

Yes, once again Barbara and Bob Thompson came for a visit over Memorial Day weekend.  They are on their way home now so I think its safe to divulge the info.

We had a wonderful time as usual but, the unusual part was the fact that the weather was gorgeous!  Every other time that they've come up, the weather has been rainy and rainier but not this trip-- it was beautiful and sunny the whole weekend except for late afternoon yesterday.  Of course, that's when we had a picnic planned for friends and neighbors so that wasn't very helpful.  We had a deck full of people that moved into the house before the grilling took place.  Brian grilled in the rain and then, later in the evening, the rain stopped again.  As luck would have it, it is now gorgeous again but that's good for their trip home.

I'm sure between Brian and Bob, you'll get to see pictures of the weekend-- we got some great dog shots as well as sites.  Brian's found a retirement-based occupation: dog photographer.  He was taking some wonderful pictures of The Boys-- Lucy didn't play camera hound too much either!

Lucy and Molly, as could be expected, are currently sacked out on the floor of my office-- they have no other dogs to keep track of so they are both happily snoring away.

Its later than normal for me to get started on my day so I'd better get to it!

Thanks for stopping by-- hope you had a great weekend and have an EXCELLENT week!
