But I didn't end up styling my new hair style all weekend. It turns out that I can just run a brush through it after sleeping so there was no point to styling it "right". I'll do that tonight and have Brian take the pictures to post.
Confused
Yesterday, I (well, Brian, too) kept thinking that it was Father's Day. Until some time around 9pm, we both kept wondering what his dad was doing-- if he was seeing the grand kids or what-- for his celebration. Something really messed with our internal calendars apparently and neither of us thought to look at a calendar until then! Oh, well-- we're early on our gift this year!
Other than that, I spent the weekend running designs on my Designer One-- a screw fell out on Friday that usually leads to it breaking. Since I didn't want that to happen, I didn't turn the machine off all weekend and ran designs and ran designs so that I'd have everything made up that I need for Christmas present-sewing. When I do shut it off, I'll try to fix it myself but, if that isn't possible, I'll have to bring it in for repair-- again.
The good news is that I read three books over the weekend. Well, there's nothing else to do while I'm watching the designs run out! I finished reading Rhys Bowen's most recent contribution to the "Constable Evan Evans" series, "Evan's Gate" on Friday and then read Selma Eichler's "Murder Can Upset Your Mother" (more on that in a minute) followed by another in the "Jane Jeffry" series by Jill Churchill.
Now, you already know that I love the "Constable Evan Evans" series by Rhys Bowen and, of course, "Evan's Gate" is no exception-- wonderful writer. Selma Eichler's "Desiree Shapiro" series is good but written in a fairly disjointed manner. I'm learning to like her style but it is still growing on me.
The Jill Churchill "Jane Jeffry" series I find to be very entertaining. The flow of the book happens naturally and easily without pushing anything to help you figure it out (and I'm generally fooled every time!). I like this series because its just fun and happy and would highly recommend it.
Considering I don't like doing book reviews, I guess that's all for now-- have a good day!
