Well, as if I wasn't busy enough, my life just got busier! I've been asked to be a "Moderator" on one of the Yahoo lists that I am on for embroidery designs. Since I sit in front of one computer or the other most of the day, I figured it made sense so I agreed to do it. It also adds a little exercise to my day as I have to run back-n-forth between computers and whatever else I'm doing in the house. That never hurts, eh?
Speaking of Exercise
I've had a problem this past week in getting to curves on a timely basis, if at all. We bought the wrong kind of allergy pill last weekend so I've been plagued by headaches several times this week. This morning, I woke up with a doozy!! I'm going to go tomorrow to work out, too-- I don't work out on Saturdays very often but I feel the need to "make up" for the day or two that I've missed this week.
Believe me, the right allergy medicine is already on the list for Sunday!
I guess that's about all for now-- have a GREAT day!
Wednesday, October 19, 2005Whoops!
I didn't realize until now that I'd forgotten to post yesterday! I could've swore that I had typed something up!
Oh, well, I'm here today and that's all that counts, right? Right!
Busy Is As Busy Does
Part of the reason that I was confused about writing yesterday is that I've been busier than all get out! When I wasn't working on work, I was running back-n-forth to the sewing room, stitching out designs on towels and twill for quilts! Yeesh, what a day!!
I finished reading a new-to-me author last night: Edna Buchanan. The book was a police procedural-type and I really enjoyed it! It was very much a page-turner! I'm looking forward to reading the "Britt Montero" series that she's written/writing. I can't wait!
Anyway, I'll try to remember to post tomorrow-- have a good one!
Monday, October 17, 2005Busy Weekend!!
I almost put up a post on Saturday but was afraid that it would cause me to "lose too much time" in the list of things that I wanted to accomplish. First, I had to do laundry (there wasn't any sense in doing it on Friday since we'd just done it on Sunday) and then I had to thin down and change-out my spring/summer wardrobe with my fall/winter wardrobe. Both have been thinned down a second time since I've quit working at the old job. I really am down to clothes that I will wear throughout each season. They all fit in one closet now which is the first time that has ever happened!!
So, in addition to the laundry and clothes switch-out, I didn't do much else except take a much-needed nap! Man, I was tired!!
On Sunday, after doing the grocery run-around, I moved my stock of mysteries that I had already read to the library and, after Brian made the "stands" for the paperback, I loaded that up with those books. Then, I went back upstairs and loaded my "to be read" books into the bookcase in my office-- I've got a lot!! It is a better way of keeping track of them however and that helps.
Linda Rose came over later in the afternoon for some sewing time and dinner-- lots of fun was had by all of course!
Other than that, nothing is new-- have a good one!
