Molly Sue Bilbrey

August 6, 2004 - December 30, 2010

On August 6, 2004, Molly Sue Bilbrey came to live with us.  Molly was unsure of her surroundings and, although she didn't mind riding in a car, she didn't understand what was happening so I sat in the back with her for the ride home.  Lucy, her "sister" had a fit about that so she climbed into Daddy's lap for the drive home.

Molly has spent the better part of three months adjusting to life around the Bilbrey Belfry.  She and her sister now tolerate each other quite well although they are insanely jealous of each other getting attention from either Mommy or Daddy.

While Molly did know how to and enjoyed cuddling, she didn't know how to give kisses.  We tried and tried to teach her and one day, the light bulb above her head went on!  She is now a wonderful kisser-- she gives kisses without being asked and sometimes, just to be cute, she gives them when you're not looking so she surprises you!

She is a water hog and a food hound and, of course, thinks she's a lap dog.  Many a night, she and I have spent cuddling in my chair.  She will sit on her six inches and lay her head on my chest as though she were no bigger than Lucy.

Molly is a wonderful, happy and loving little girl . . . whoops!  Make that "Big Girl"!!

First Days at Molly's New Home

You came and got me?

You mean this is what I can expect? Petting?

I get to play HERE??

Oh, so that's what my sister smells like!

Wow!  This deck is neat!!

Sleep?  I get to sleep here?  Cool!

This is my Sister, Lucy.

When Molly came to us, she knew how to hug and cuddle but she didn't know how to give kisses.  She also didn't know what belly scratches were . . . until NOW.
