Southern Pecan Pie or Pecan Tarts

1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup melted butter
3 well beaten eggs
1 cup chopped or halved pecans
1 unbaked pie shell or 10 tart shells

Mix sugar, syrup, & melted butter in a bowl.
Add eggs and pecans
Fill an unbaked pie shell with mixture. If making tarts, fill each tart 1/4 cup full

Bake in a pre-heated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes
Then turn down oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 more minutes.
