Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Roughly a month and a half after our wedding, Brian and I went to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon.  If you'll recall in our early correspondence (see "Fairy Tale"), Brian was trying to figure out which of the series he would be buying tickets for during the summer of 1998. Well about two minutes after we met (see "whirlwind"), he bought tickets for us to attend three plays in Ashland in July.

We set out driving on July 9 and stopped for an overnight near the Shasta Caverns of Mt. Shasta, California.  We continued on Friday, the 10th arriving in Ashland and that night we saw the "Green Show" production that was called from "Bach to the Beatles".  The play that was scheduled for the Angus Bowmer theatre was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" which was wonderfully performed and voraciously enjoyed by the two of us.  The next day, we scouted through the quaint town of Ashland hitting stores and crafts shops looking for Christmas ornaments to tell the story of our trip.

On Saturday night, we saw a John Sheridan play which was also running in the Bowmer theatre and on Sunday, during the day, we set out for Crater Lake.  That night, in the Elizabethan Theatre, we enjoyed "A Comedy of Errors" in the open theatre.

There is a picture from the "Green Show" performances as well as other parts of our trip in our photo album.
