Class Project

I'm also taking a class at The Granary here in Sunnyvale.  That class is consisting of a 3-rail fence pattern small-sized blanket quilt.  I'm working on the quilting portion of it now.  Pictures will have to follow on that one since I don't have any made of it yet except for one (a bad one of me) taken on February 16 (shown at left).

Well, I know I should've waited and worked the binding in the last class but I couldn't stand it!!  I had to finish the quilt!!  I spent most of the day on Saturday and Sunday last weekend (2/18-19) marking the templates and sewing the quilting stitches on my machine.  I really had a good time with it and, ended up putting on the binding and beginning the hand-sewing on it on Tuesday.  By Thursday, it was finished and laundered (to get out the template markings).

I hope Landon likes it!!

Just prior to the beginning of teh quilting process

(This is sometimes the angle used on quilts like this for display on the bed.)

Very faintly you can see the template outline and the star.

Because of the planes and jets and stars, I called this quilt "Flying to the Stars"

Yes, there's even a matching pillow to snuggle.
