Marcia Does Quilting, TOO!!!

Memories

Just before Christmas, I promised my sister, Karen, that I would make her a quilted wall-hanging.  At the time, I didn't know what I was going to make but it had to be blue-- that was the only request.  I already knew it wasn't going to be ready for Christmas but I wanted to make sure that it was special and delivered in person-- that's the best way!!

After deciding that it would be blue, per her request, I started to think about what to make for her.  I had long ago promised myself that I would do something different with every quilt and, as a result, I had to come up with something that I hadn't done before in a quilt.

I had a flash: A Memory Quilt!!!  I went out to the internet and did some research to see what other people had done for memory quilts and an idea started to come to mind.  I bought some quilting graph paper and began designing squares and deciding what pictures to use.  I had a copy of all of the family photos from a couple of years ago when I scanned them all in so that part was easy.  Eventually, I decided to make it one that was just about Karen and our parents.

Karen loved it and I enjoyed making it for her!
