I've been making a quilt for one of our nieces that has been a challenge. First that didn't fit or this didn't fit because the pattern didn't provide complete seam allowances in the pattern-- it allowed for some but not for all. The white background blocks were the hardest bit because the points needed to stay visible. For the most part, the points are still present but some, regrettably, are still missing. This was a difficult pattern because I'd never done a 9-patch block before either-- I did this, technically, incorrectly because I wanted three different fabrics on the block instead of the traditional two fabrics.

Oh, well-- its unique and, the niece for whom it is in tended is unique
as well so that makes perfect sense. Up close, the colors are gorgeous--
I'm not a "Pink Person" and I think its fabulous!! The picture on
the left is without the border and the picture on the right is with the
border. When it is completely finished, with binding and quilting,
I'll take another picture and post it here.
Sadly, we won't get to see her open the gift at Christmas but hopefully, we'll hear about it on the phone!
